When walking in Piedmont Park, we find lots of folks loving their pets.
A cat on a leash, a dog in a back pack, a friendly pot-bellied pig, who knows what you’ll find? Here’s a round-up of pets in the Park. And by the way, Hooray for National Dog Day today.

Cat on a leash – we asked: it was her first walk in the park (no pets were harmed in this confrontation).
Now, the not-so-good day: This post is dedicated to KoKo, Sam’s pet and friend of 16 years. We said goodbye to KoKo one week ago today.
Five Photos — the rules are: “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. The stories can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph, with each day including a nomination to challenge another blogger. I don’t have a pass-along today, but will try to catch up next post. Thanks once more to Jean at Social Bridge for nominating me for this blogging challenge.
Now back to the good days — do you take your pet to a Park?

Sorry about KoKo. 😦
Some of the other photos (ok, the Kitty Walker mostly) cracked me up, though!
That wasn’t the first ‘cat stroller’ we’ve seen, just the most recent and the one I happened to have my camera out for — I love seeing pets out and about. Could a pig walker be far behind? Kitty Walker: https://www.kittywalk.com/royale_classic_suv.asp
Koko will be missed.
Thanks Hillary – and Sam loved the magnet you sent (I haven’t seen it yet)
Sandy, lovely post. It’s so hard to lose a pet, though.
They’re like our family, aren’t they? And so sad that their life-spans are shorter than ours.
Impressed by the diversity of pets at your park. Pity about KoKo.
On pet diversity: at the park where we used to walk in Kansas City, the K.C. Reptile Association used to meet every so often and bring their pets. Quite exciting to see the lizards, people ‘wearing’ their pythons and other snakes. Oh, and turtles came along too. We haven’t seen snakes here yet.
I recall seeing men taking their birds in cages to the park in Macau. No reptiles though.
That would be fun – I haven’t seen birds here yet (will keep watching)
